27 weeks

We got some cauliflowers in my belly! LOL They are about 14 1/2 inches long and weigh about 2lbs now. They are now able to open and close their eyes and their brains are very active now. Jeremy thinks it's cute to feel whenever one of them has the hiccups. Last Wednesday we took our tour of the Labor and Delivery at the hospital where we will be having the twins. It all became so surreal, but it also make me anxious after going past the nursery. Below is my latest belly shot. I know I have been slacking since my last one was taken 3 weeks ago. I don't see much of a difference, but I can definetely feel it.

I had to go out this weekend and buy more maternity shirts since the ones I had are starting to outgrow me. I thought I would be fine, but then again I bought all my maternity clothes before I found out we were expecting twins. Luckily my waist size has stayed the same, just not my belly. I will have some more pics to show in a few days since I have another ultrasound on Wednesday. I also added a new poll on the right hand side. I leave you with Jordan jumping rope...

Or should I say "trying" to jump rope

26 weeks

I know I am little late on this, but since after my Dr's appointment on Friday, we have been busy and enjoying the spring weather. We were outside a lot and did not want to be in the house while it was sunny and in the 60's outside.

My Dr's appointment went well. I have gained 5lbs since last month I saw him. Jeremy thought it was amusing seeing the number that read on the scale. Every appointment now, the Dr. will measure the belly. It measured 32 weeks and he then told me that I could end up 50+. It is amazing what our bodies can do! In 2 weeks I have my glucose test and I am so happy that I was scheduled my ultrasound and OB appointment that same day. When you take the first glucose test, you have to wait for an hour before they take a blood sample. Luckily I get to have my other appointments instead of sitting there bored. Also lets hope I pass so I dont have to go back and take the 3 hour test.

The babies are inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. They are continuing putting on baby fat as well. Other than the babies developing well, I am feeling great. Also, I had a few friends ask about the u/s and us already labeling who's who, we were told that they will know who is baby A and who is baby B when it came to delivery. :-)

Ultrasound appointment and pics

First off, today is the day where I am in the double digits of my pregnancy. Time is flying by fast! I now have 99 days left! Though that is from my 40 week and we all know Dr. wont let me go until then. Anyways, the u/s went really well. Jalen and Landon were both highly active and at the end of the u/s they were both yawning. She even recorded them and I have them on video on the cd with all the pics. They both weigh 1 lb 14 oz. They are almost 2 lbs! Gosh thats about 4 lbs of baby in my belly and I still have a while to go! No wonder I feel exhausted from walking and climbing stairs.

Jordan was able to attend the u/s and he was so facinated. He said that when they get older he can always tell them that he saw them before they came out of my belly. He has been showing mixed feelings through out the pregnancy. He would be excited and then he has his days when he just wants to be the only child.

Friday I have my Dr's appointment and I am going to see when he wants me to stop working. He said with multiples he usually has his patients on bedrest at 32 weeks if they are not showing any complications. Below are a couple of pics. I added more on facebook and myspace.

25 weeks!

I am now 25 weeks, which means I am in my 6th month! I am only 1 week and 6 days away from being in 3rd trimester!!! Also, I realized this morning that in 13 weeks or less, the babies will be here! Though, I want them to go for atleast 10 more weeks that puts me at 35. This is my Dr's goal and when I make it, he wants to try for 37. He will not allow me to go past 38.

The babies are around 13 1/2 inches and weight a little over a lb. I can't wait for next week when we go in for our ultrasound and see how big they really are. I think I have a playpen in my womb bc there are times where the movement is non-stop and my belly is always moving. They say that Jeremy should be able to hear the heartbeats if you puts his head on my belly. I am going to see if he can hear it yet tonight.

The nursery progress is still going. I got the letters that we are placing on the wall spelling out their names and are ready to be painted. This weekend we are painting Jordan's room so he can have a new room like the babies. Jeremy and I want to make sure that he is also involved with this pregnancy and get him ready to be a big brother. We dont want him to feel left out or as if he is being replaced.

I am looking foward to see everyone on April 4th for the shower. I know my sister and best friend has been working hard and are wanting this to be a perfect shower for me. I love them both!

Belly shot and nursery sneek peek

As promised, I have pics of the belly and the nursery. Clearly we just got the painting done and cribs put together. The bedding line is Dwell Studio from Target. I need to add the bumper still, but have to lower the mattress first.

Here is belly at 24w2d...

Crib #1 and #2

Here is Hunter practicing as "watch dog" for the twins. He is going to be one clingy dog!

Jeremy was all giddy last night bc he felt the babies move non-stop. He actually woke me up at 1am to tell me they were moving and asked how I can sleep w/ all that movement going on. He told me they were playing soccer in there. He was so excited and probably held his hand there for about 30 min. Even though he woke me up, he was so darn cute about it all.

Other Jeremy news, he had a job interview for a managment position and he did really well. They are going to have him come back for a 2nd interview with the district GM. Go Jeremy!

24 weeks!!!

I am now 24 weeks and we have reached another pregnancy milestone called viability. If the babies were delivered now, they have a chance at survival. Though we want them to stay put as long as they can. With a twin pregnancy, you want to have big babies. Both of them have been moving constantly and some movements have made me even jump bc they were so strong. Babies are over 1lb and almost a foot long! It is officially now uncomfortable for me to bend and I am rolling to get out of bed now. Jeremy thinks it's funny watching me get out of bed or trying to put on my shoes. Here is a pic of what the twins could look like in the womb.

I actually had my first "pregnant with twins" comment today at work. A lady asked when I was due and when I told her in May/June, her eyes bout came out. She mentioned that I must be carrying twins. If I was carrying one, I would probably be upset, but I really am carrying two so no biggie. She did say I looked great and can tell I am all belly. I do need to post a belly pic. My mom called me yesterday telling me I need to update my belly pic. For her, she wants an every week shot!

The nursery is now painted and we will put the cribs together this weekend. Jeremy has a cold right now and has been getting his rest. Figures the day I get rid of mine, he comes down with it. Jordan is doing well. We signed him up for baseball and he starts next month. He is really excited! I will post a pic of nursery and belly soon.
