It's been almost 3 weeks...

Since the boys have came home from NICU. They have been doing great and so has mommy and daddy. It only took a few days to get a routine going and so far so good. We can say that we have really good babies. Landon and Jalen hardly ever fuss and when they are awake they are so content and just look around and smile. The only time we hear then fuss would be because they are hungry or they have gas. We have all learned that some of their faces where we would think they are working on a poopy diaper is just them passing gas.

Since they have been home, they have been to several outings. They have visited grandma and grandpa, watch Jordan play baseball, go see grandma at hospital, and other small errands. Jordan has been a tremendously help around the house when Jeremy is gone at work. He loves his baby brothers and loves to be their big brother. I love watching Jordan interact with his brothers. Today we went to the library and he picked up some special books just for his brothers.

Next weekend, they are going to meet a lot of family who have been dying to meet them since they were born. My sisters graduation party is next weekend so we are having lots of family from Chicago visit and then we will be going to Chicago in July to see family who were not able to see them next Saturday. Landon and Jalen has a huge family who love them very much! I know their Great-Grandma is so excited to finally get to hold them next week.

Jordans baseball season is over and it was a huge downer to loose to the number 2 seeded team by only 1 point. Their team was leading until the other team came up ahead at the 6th inning and came for the win. J's team (Marlins) did keep the other team from scoring and having the lowest score all season long. This team would have atleast 20 runs every game and have won 13 games in a row. The score of J's game was 10-11. Tomorrow the league is having a picnic and J will receive his trophy, baseball with season stats, and team photo.

A blog entry would not be the same without some pics...I do need to upload J's playoff pics and others and those I will post later.

This is how Jackson likes to sleep. he is such a puppy

Happy 1 month birthday!

I can't believe Jalen and Landon are a month old! Time has flown by fast! Yesterday was their first pediatrician appointment and it all went well. I can't believe how much they have grown since we left the NICU a week ago. They have both gained 2 lbs and 2 inches since they were born! Landon is now 6lb9oz, 20 inches long and Jalen is 6lb2oz, 19 inches long. They are doing what a typical 1 month old is doing and on track from what the pedi said. Jalen and Landon are actually going to my old pediatrician. He is such a wonderful Dr, I knew he would be perfect for my boys. Feedings became a topic because I wanted to address him my concerns about waking them up. The NICU wanted us to stay on their schedule, meaning every 3 hours on the same time intervals they were using. However, Landon was waking up earlier showing signs of hunger and in the NICU they always fed Jalen first and Landon 30 min later. When we have to wake the boys up, the feedings take twice as much time because they dont have the same energy to eat well when they are awake. Pedi gave us the okay to feed when they are wanting to eat. If they sleep through the night, then its okay. He said now that they are pass 6lbs its no biggie.

It's only been a month since they have been born and we can already see some of the personalities each of them have. I can't wait until they get a little older and we can really see what traits they have and the interaction they will have with each other. As always... here are some pics. Grandma- Here they are wearing the shorts you got for them. :-) I think Jalen is singing happy birthday to Landon, but he looks like he's not a fan.

I thought this photo of Landon was funny! ROARRR!

4 weeks old today!

The boys are home and it feels GREAT to have them home! It is so nice not having to drive to the hospital each day multiple times. Landon and Jalen are adjusting well being home and they have been good babies. Right now they are sleeping in the same crib until they get big enough and we will separate them. Landon was really fussy the first night and I think the circumcision had something to do with that. They both were not happy campers when they got that done, but they will never remember that day they got snipped. The boys are now 4 weeks old and there is a huge difference since day 1 they were born. My boys both have little pot bellies now and really filling out. When we left the hospital Monday both boys grew an inch since they were born. Landon on Monday was 5 lbs 7 oz, 19 inches long and Jalen was 5 lbs 3 oz, 18 inches long. They have their first pedi appointment on Monday and we will see how much they weigh again.

I am so glad that the dogs and Jordan have been really good around the boys. Jordan is a wonderful big brother and he is so proud of his brothers. He enjoys helping me out and spending time with Landon and Jalen. He has helped with feedings, them being fussy, playing, and making sure they are happy. He has not crossed over to change diapers yet though. He wants no part of that and I don’t blame him. The dogs have shown that they are already protective. Hunter will lie in their doorway at night and Jackson will sleep under their crib. It’s our dog security system. Here are a few of the pics that I have taken the last couple of days.

My boys tired! I am sure Jeremy would have been in the picture if he was not at work. :-)
