Today Jeremy took me out to dinner for my birthday and while we were waiting for our food, Jalen looked right at him and said daddy followed by some da da's. It was so cute! Jeremy thought it was funny because he said "what" after he said daddy and then realized he what Jalen just said. Of course like all daddys, he bragged because he said this before mommy.
Both boys are becoming a lot more vocal. Last month we went through the loud high pitch screetching sounds from Jalen. Now we are getting it from Landon. It cracks me up! Our house is getting louder with both boys now. They are sure keeping me on my toes now that they are more and more mobile. Especially Jalen! I wonder if he gets dizzy from rolling over and over at the speed he does in the living room. They are both attracted wires and the dog's toys. I have to put a cover on my pumping tubes, because Landon likes to rip them out while I pump.
We have also stopped using the baby tub and now using the regular bath. They love it and have fun splashing around! It is easier now that I can give them a bath at the same time. Bath time goes a lot quicker now.
Monday Jalen and Landon are going to the pedi to get their second round of H1N1 and the seasonal. They actualy do very well with shots.
Here are some pictures from this week.

Weekend trip to Chicago
This past weekend my mom and I took all 3 kids to Chicago to visit family. We had TONS of fun and able to see family we have not seen in a long time. This was our second time with the babies in the car. I was unsure how things were going to go since the first time they were only 4 months old and slept the whole time. They are older now and awake for longer periods of time. They actually did great and kept themselves entertained. Here is how are weekend went.
Friday afternoon we drove up north to Chicago after picking Jordan up after school. We headed over to my aunt and uncles for some pizza. My grandparents also came so we can see them too. I love visiting with family since we are not able to see them as often as we wish we would. I am glad they are only 3 hours away and we do find time to visit. That night we checked into our hotel suite and it was super nice. The boys adjusted well and slept all night in the cribs provided from the hotel.
Jordan and Jalen are best buds
Saturday was a super busy, but fun day. That morning before we met with family, my mom and I had to make a stop at IKEA. We went there to pick up some storage bins, but we ended up leaving with a bunch of stuff. My mom and Jordan had fun throwing in stuff for the boys. I had to keep reminding her that her car will not fit anymore stuff since we had to bring back 6 pizzas from Ginos. :-) After IKEA, we headed over to a restaurant to meet my dads side of the family. This was their first time meeting Landon and Jalen. After we ate, we went back to the hotel for my massage. Their was a salon at the hotel and for part of my bday present, my mom bought me a massage. It felt great!

After my lovely massage, we headed over to my aunts ice skating rink. Here we skated with lots of cousins. I miss them all and hardly get to see them. I put on skates for the first time in over 10 years! I did not fall once! Jordan was a different story. :-) This was his first time, but did very well! He was gliding on the ice within minutes. Jalen even got on the ice with me. I did not skate with him though.
After skating, we headed over to my cousins and we all hung out. It was so much fun catching up with everyone. All the kids had a blast!
My cousin Anna, she was our flower girl in our wedding. She is getting so big!

Sunday the boys were exhausted! They slept pretty much the whole way home. We made a stop at Ginos East pizza to pick up 6 par-baked pizzas to bring home. YUM! The manager was super nice and openend early for us to pick up our order since we had to be home by 3 for the colts game. :-) Go Colts!
All in all, it was a great weekend and I wish it was longer. I enjoyed spending time with family and I can't wait to see them all again.

I like green beans now
Landon is now eating his green veggies. Green beans and peas were always a fight trying to eat. We would usually have to sneak them in with oatmeal, but he was getting too smart with that and saw the dipping. Now he enjoys the green beans and he had them plain. Here is proof that most made inside his mouth. Though, he is my cleanest eater. Jalen likes to put his hands in his mouth with the food in there and play with his messy hands.

5. Hoodies and flip flops are my favorite things to wear.

We are 8 months old today!
Wow! I can't believe my sweet little boys are 8 months old today! You can't even tell they were born 2 months early from looking at them. They are loving new foods each day! We have been using the sippy cup and they seem to enjoy that as well. They are really interested in the foods that we eat. Jalen especially will whine and try to reach for my food when eating. He does not like it when I eat infront of him. :-)
Both boys can recognize their own names and will turn when I will say them. They have not cut a tooth yet, but one should come any day now. You can see the teeth, they just haev not cut through the gums all the way. I know I did not get my first tooth until I was almost one.
Jalen likes to play peek-a-boo with us and likes to slap everything to make a noise. He loves slapping Grandpa's face. :-) They both know that after I count to 3, something exciting is going to happen. Landon is moving across the living room by back crawling and rolls. Jalen does spins and scoots. Landon LOVES to stand. He loves to "bounce" on his legs. He belly laughs every time. They are also copying some of the things I do.
I can't believe we are only 4 months away from them turning 1! Jordan will also be turning 8!
