I can say that 2nd trimester is going by fast! It is hard to believe that in a little over 3 months, there will be 2 handsome boys in our family. May is a great birthday month if they decide to arrive in May. By two labs were born in May and Jordan's birthday is in May. Yes we do celebrate the dogs birthday. Jackson will be turning 1 and Hunter will be 3! Jordan is turning 7 and I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Sorry there is not a picture of a fruit for this week. They only give me a fruit/veggie comparison now for each month. I am now a week away from viability. This means that the twins have a greater chance of survival outside the womb if they were to come out. Though, we want them in there until atleast 35 weeks. Their pancreas is developing now and their face and body begin to assume more of the appearance of an infant at birth.
We received our first registry gift from a friend of mine, Kat. She is also pregnant and I am so excited for her! We did not unwrap the gift, bc we will save it for the shower, but here is what we got. I can't wait to put the boys in their cute towels after the bath. Thanks again, Kat!!!

Belly and ultrasound pics
Here is my belly at 22 weeks. Just got back from the ultrasound and both babies are healthy and looking great! Sono lady said we are the best patient she has seen with twins. Yay! Both Baby A and B are weighing around 1lb and 2 oz. Last appointment Baby A was active and B was just chillin sucking his thumb. Today it was the opposite! We recorded everything and all the pics were placed on a cd. This makes things a lot easier to email and print what we want. Below are some pics. Oh and we painted the nursery and the color looks great! I will post pics when we finish all the touch ups and everything.

Week 22
The twins are the size of a papaya! Their eyelids and eyebrows are developed along with visible fingernails. Yesterday was my Dr's appointment and I had many questions. This was the first time I saw my OB after finding out we are expecting twins. He told me that his goal was for me to carry to atleast 35 weeks. He is not as worried about pre-term with me right now bc I am so tall and that is a good thing for a mother carrying multiples. Since I have an ultrasound scheduled every 4 weeks now, we will know more as it gets closer. Monday I get to go in for my 2nd u/s and I can't wait to see the boys!
Dr. said I am gaining the weight that I need to and suggested for me not to gain over 45lbs. I have already seen a number on the scale that I have never seen in my entire life! I asked the doctor about bedrest and he suggests to his patients around 30-32 weeks, but this also determines on future exams of the cervix and u/s. He did write me out a prescription for more folic acid since I am having twins.
Some more exciting news, Jeremy and I have registered at Babies R US and will likely make one for Target. I have picked out paint samples for the nursery so hopefully Jeremy and I decide on a color this weekend and start painting. After we paint, we will take the cribs out and set them up! Setting up the nursery is the fun stuff and I can't wait to get it started!
Look for ultrasound pics on Monday! :-)

Week 21
Time is flying by and I can't believe our family will be grown in 3-4 months! Babies are growing faster in the second half the pregnancy. I received this book that I ordered in the mail and it has great advice and info about multiples and pregnancy. Mulitples actually develop slightly faster than singletons do. Their lungs are actually ready sooner. This is a reason why mulitples typically do not pass the 37th week, bc typically after 34 weeks the growth rate starts to slow down. In other news about the BP's, their hair and eyebrows are now visible and taste buds are working! I hope they like what mommy is eating and enjoying all the food since I have to eat a lot more now. Carrying twins, it is recommended to gain 40-56lbs! The size of my belly typically looks like a singleton mom carrying at 30 weeks.
Here is a pic of what the twins may look like in my womb.
Mommy is still feeling great other than some of the aches in lower back and swollen ankles. I try to rest when I am at home and have them propped up on the couch. I get comfy when I am at home watching American Idol and Hells Kitchen during the week. Hope everyone has a good V-Day! I think Jeremy, Jordan, and I are just going to order a pizza and watch some movies. Maybe this weekend we can build the cribs. :-)

Belly pic...20 weeks
Here is my belly shot taken at 20w2d. Also Jeremy and I went shopping this weekend and got awesome deals on clothes and found my diaper bag! Jeremy and I were having so much fun shopping. It was so cute bc he would go wonder off and then come back with a bunch of clothes in his hands. I learned that he loves shopping when it comes to baby stuff. It was so cute watching Jeremy after I hung everything up in the nursery bc he was admiring everything we had in there. We also got Jordan a t-shirt that says Big Brothers Rock on it with!
And we have chosen the names... Jalen Lee and Landon Ross!

20 weeks!
I am 20 weeks today and it marks the midpoint of my pregnancy! I can't believe I am finally here. It seemed that it took forever. People tell me that it starts go faster now. I know this second half of my pregnancy the weather will soon to be warmer and more activities going on to make it go faster. Though I know when I am around 30 weeks, I need to slow things down since I will be 7 weeks away from delivery, if not sooner. So I guess you can say, I am more that halfway.
Average size of babies are about 6 1/2 inches long and 10.6 oz. My boys genitals are now fully formed. The babies skin covering the body is now starting to grow 2 layers, the epidermis and dermis.
Mom is feeling great and is happy that the pregnancy has been uneventful, except the surprise of us finding out we are having twins 2 weeks ago. :-) We have bought the cribs and got a great price! Target was having a baby sale and the crib we got had great reviews! I can't wait to set them both up in the nursery. It has came to my attention by my brother that there is no need for 2 cribs. He says to get a large crib and split it in half w/ cardboard or WORST he mentioned buying a twin size bed and surround it with chicken wire. I really hope he does not have mulitples bc I can actually see him do the cardboard thing. I am still having problems trying to find bedding. I like so many, but have to keep the budget since we are paying for 2 of them now. I think a trip to Ikea will be made for dressers :-)
Here is the crib we got.
